About WEEP
How Will Your IT equipment Be Recycled?
Taking a BYTE out of IT waste.
Reuse, Reduce and Recycle
Through WEEEP, your computers and other equipment will be completely checked and disassembled by trained staff. The working systems and components will then be sorted and allocated for reuse or recycling, and processed in the most efficient manner.
- Your computer is checked manually by a trained staff person. The equipment is logged. Data can be securely removed from systems if required.
- Any working systems or components will be donated to our Charity MARC.
- All non working equipment will be disassembled, removed and sorted. All non working equipment will be recycled.
- Aluminium, steel, and iron are separated from the other components and recycled.
- Copper is reused in wire and tubing, and precious metals are recycled at various smelters.
- The plastic casings are shredded and recycled into plastic lumber, pallets or other applications.
- Monitors, which contain lead, will be sent to our Monitor processing plant.
- Hazardous materials like lithium batteries and mercury switches are sent to a licensed hazardous waste site where they are recycled.
- Finally, any packaging that comes with the equipment, such as paper, cardboard, or pallets, is also recycled.
- We do not only take IT equipment but all equipment
