1. What materials can I ship with this program?
All computer equipment - monitors, CPUs, laptops, mice and keyboards - and peripherals such as printers, scanners, digital cameras, etc. Items that cannot be included are disassembled monitors.
TVs, Videos, Fridges, Microwaves all electrical equipment.
2. How do I get the equipment collected?
By one call or email fill in the form (contacts page). Call WEEEP on 01875 833 917 and Robert will do the rest. We can come out and collect your equipment.
3. How is the equipment collected?
We can collect the equipment loosely if required. We do not provide boxes. Used boxes, such as those your computer and monitor came in, are fine. All we ask is that all equipment is on one location near the door.
4. What if I do not have a full complete system?
Any personal computer related equipment. For example you could send a 10 Computers and two printers, or a monitor and four keyboards. It does not matter if you have a full system.
5. What happens to my equipment once it is received?
We will record systems coming through. All non-working equipment will be properly recycled. Recycling includes reuse and recovery of contained materials. Additionally all materials classified as hazardous waste once removed from the computer system will be properly disposed. Any working equipment will be able to have the hard disk contents securely deleted and then donated to the Charity MARC.
6. I accidentally sent the wrong item, what do I do?
Unfortunately WEEEP is not responsible for equipment sent in error. Any equipment sent in error may only be recovered if we have not processed the equipment at that time.
7. Is there anything special I need to do before I send the equipment?
We suggest and recommend that you remove any data from your hard drive before shipping your equipment. WEEEP is not responsible for any information left on the hard drive. We can remove the data, but there will be a charge applied.
8. Other questions?
We now can recycle Ink, toners, Mobile and normal telephones.
If you have other questions, email WEEEP.
