MagicWand IT Management Services

MagicWand is a family firm based in Midlothian that has over 12 years experience in running and managing computer based recycling and training projects within socially excluded areas in Scotland.
Through combining forces with MARC, MagicWand came up with the idea of recycling IT equipment and providing low cost systems and training, to those living within the socially excluded areas of Midlothian. This project can be rolled out across Scotland.
Unwanted computer equipment is collected, and then it is used to train local people from the community with a short PC training program that teaches participants how to fix a computer when it breaks down. When they have completed the course they will get a bonus, they will take the computer system they were working on home for their family to use. We want to assist bridging the Digital Divide firstly in the local community, then move it across Scotland.
Computer systems are not a luxury item, but a valuable tool. People are being excluded because of their financial constraints. This innovate project helps businesses and the local community at the same time.
The project had two missing links, one being how to secure a constant supply of computer equipment, anf funding. Can anyone assist.
MARC and MagicWand required partners to fill these gaps.
